When taking a look at the WordPress ecommerce plugins, we wanted to understand what the most important features were, as outlined above. After that, it was essential to figure out what made each of these plugins stand out compared to the others. You’ll find that some of the ecommerce plugins have more features in general, while others are better for simple, clean stores. On the other hand, you’ll see that there are a few niche ecommerce plugins for completing specific tasks–such as selling digital downloads online.

The greatest amount of flexibility will be with a WordPress option, but that also comes with more responsibility for you as the site owner. Ultimately you have to decide what matters most to you when you choose a method for selling your courses. Both a hosted solution and WordPress based options are going to achieve pretty much the same end-goal. Shall I take it that there is no known solution to my question on Paypal not receiving/accepting shipping calculations, or that the solution is so easy that I should have found it myself?
The Easy Digital Downloads plugin is also one of the popular e-commerce plugins with built-in PayPal support. It allows you to add the functionality of Pay Pal Pro and PayPal Express. It means that customers can pay with a credit card directly on your website. For buyers, this is not only convenient but also more secure than payments via PayPal Standard. Hi Dan, I sent you an email but it came back to me with a “Mail Delivery Failed” message. Anyway, I use Akismet so sometimes comments get blocked without me knowing.. sometimes I just get overwhelmed (I have a few sites that I maintain) with comments and I just can’t get to reply to all.. sometimes I think about replying later and then I forget. Anyway, I can’t see why the variation control won’t show up cause I just took the trigger text you provided and pasted into my test site and it works fine so there is nothing wrong in the trigger text. What version of the plugin are you using? I wrote once before and sent in a donation but didn’t see my post here. I am using variation control settings as below but the trigger text does nor generate the drop downs.

The terms are often used interchangeably—in large part because they share the same basic function. Both tools allow you to launch an online store, showcase your products, and manage your ecommerce sales.
The ecommerce software by Shift4Shop has gone through eight different versions with the ninth in the making. It’s safe to say this cart is here to stay.
I’ve purchased and installed the eStore plugin now. Since I’m placing the Shopping Cart as a widget in my sidebar instead of by code into a template file, how can I make the Cart only display if there are items? In the Simple version, it was as simple as adding a line of code to the php file in the print_shopping_cart function. Can I do the same here? What would be the code, and which file? It’d be nice if this were an option on the Settings page as well – maybe I’m overlooking it?
